I schooled at Government High School (GHS) Kake-Kumba and at Global Bilingual Comprehensive College (GLOBICCOL) Kumba after which I studied Business Marketing at the Higher Institute of Management Studies (HIMS) Buea. I attended the C-Life Servant Leadership Fellowship (SLF) Program as a Cohort 7 fellow from November 2019 – January 2020. During my training at C-Life, my most impactful modules were the Art of Public Speaking, Corporate Etiquette, Servant Leadership and Self Leadership. The training I got at C-Life, has impacted my life in a very powerful way personally, academically, career (professionally) and business wise. The SLF program was a great life changer. At a personal level, I acquired skills in public speaking which is really helping me in my current job and career. Today, I am the Marketing Manager at African Development Outreach (ADO), the Country Administrator at Adullam Bible Institute (ABI) Cameroon, and also the Founder and Executive President at Christ Academy. During our training at C-Life, we had a lot of fun. One outstanding fun fact about a servant leader: Mr. Francis, was the fact that he was literally the comedian of the cohort, keeping the class “funky”. Today, I am living out the core values of C-Life. One of the outstanding elements is being a servant leader. I have been able to apply this in most areas of my life, especially in my career and social network, and the results are just mind blowing, with opportunities to serve just flowing in almost on a daily basis. It’s fondly said learning without play makes Jack a dull boy. So apart from work, I like traveling, cooking, singing and dancing. Also, drawing, studying, having time alone just to think. Things I do during my free time to relax my brain are watching movies, cartoons, and going out for a walk, adventures and playing video games. I am a seeker and transmitter of knowledge and truth, these are the scriptures that drive me: 2Tim2:15, Joshua 1:8, Eccl 7:8 and at the heart of it all, is Rom12:2. Which says “ESV: “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” As an Alumnus of the SLF program, I have to tell the youths that Servant Leadership is one of the most outstanding way of life for any leader or to be leader. There is just no other better way to be exemplary but as a servant leader. It’s amazing and fulfilling. To the youths, Knowing God at a personal level, service with the right attitude and mindset will keep you relevant in this time and times to come. Go for knowledge, discover and develop yourself, learn and acquire new skills, as these have the tendency of keeping you at the top of your game every time.
