It is not usual to syndicate academic knowledge smoothly with business acumen but to possess such passion at a young age is worth appreciating. C-life is happy to presents Mr. Ngong George Fonyuy. CEO and Founder of PEOTEF as our Servant Leader for the month of September 2020. Read his inspiring story.

“I was born and raised in a family of five in Sop village found in Nso, in Bui Division of the North West Region of Cameroon. Growing up as a child, I had no aspirations. However, as I grew up, my mindset changed as I advanced. In Form Five, I began questioning myself as to what I had to offer in life.

In 2019, I found C-Life and enrolled for the 

Servant Leadership Fellowship (SLF) Program as a Cohort 6 Fellow. In the course of the training, the module on Servant Leadership inspired me. ​

​C-life has given me the urge to do all I do. The program helped me to get deep into myself to see exactly what is it I wanted out of life. I remember that it was said many times that failing at something means you are trying. I used to know that it was a crime to fail. I then tried and failed and now I have something I have been consistently doing.  

Through C-Life, I see God in a better way. To fast constantly and study God’s word more often.

​Memories of the training are still very fresh in my mind. I personally enjoyed my cohort mates from almost all ages who were and are still very diverse; we had Mothers, Fathers and youths who came for different reasons to the program. Being around all these people was amazing. I personally enjoyed the trainers. C-Life gave me the basis I use for my training today. 

Today, I am a Social Entrepreneur, Founder and CEO of People, Technology and Finance (PEOTEF), a finance training and management firm. At PEOTEF, we provide professional IT training for individuals, Personal Finance Management services for individuals and work with companies to computerize or automate their operations and train company staff on the use of our systems (software).

I enjoy music and love playing the piano and handball. I draw my inspiration from the books of Joshua 1:5-9, which says;

“No one will be able to resist you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not abandon you or leave you alone.  Be strong and brave! You must  lead these people in the conquest of this land that I solemnly promised their ancestors I would hand over to them. Make sure you are very strong and  brave! Carefully obey all the law my servant Moses charged you to keep! Do not swerve from it to the right or to the left, so that you may be successful in  all you do. This law scroll must not leave your lips! You must memorize it day and night so you can carefully obey all that is written in it. Then you will prosper and be successful.  I repeat, be strong and brave Don’t be afraid and don’t panic,2 for I, the LORD your God, am with you in all you do.”  

And Ephesians 3:20 which says,” Now to him who by the power that is working within us is able to do far beyond all that we ask or think”

As a servant leader, I believe Servant Leadership is the ultimate solution to many problems we face today in our Communities. There are many conflicts because people are not willing to serve. My message to the youths is to adopt Servant Leadership as a way of life and you should be able to know yourselves and what you can do best.

C-Life’s mission is to raise African Servant leaders whose way of life will transform their own communities with integrity and professional Excellence for God’s glory. We are thankful to God that Ngong George Fonyuy is living out this Mission as a lifestyle.
